Al-Ma’arij 70:5 فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرࣰا جَمِيلًا

English – Sahih International

So be patient with gracious patience.

As we approach the hot weather, it can become hard for sisters who are covering up. Remind yourself your intentions, you are doing this solely for Allaah! In shaa Allaah you will be given numerous rewards. This world and it’s hardships are but temporary and the hereafter is our forever home. Those heedless will regret what they missed out on.

As you put on your outer clothing, renew your intentions and wear it with honour and with dignity. Allaah chose you out of all other people to cover for the sake of Him, to in shaa Allaah be close to Him, gain lots of rewards and to stay away from sin by committing tabarruj. It is not easy but it is worth it. 2 duas that I believe are powerful in times of need are:

حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل

Hasbuna Allah wa ni‘am al-wakil (Allah is Sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs)

لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

(There is no deity worthy of worship except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”)

This is the dua Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) made when he was trapped in the belly of a whale. Allaah saved him after he made this dua. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) told us if we make this dua during hardship, Allaah will respond to us.
